Job Summary
The GST Sr. Executive will be responsible for managing end-to-end GST compliance within the organization. This role focuses on ensuring accuracy in filings, reconciliations, and tax computations. The incumbent will collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors to maintain compliance, safeguard input tax credits, and support audit readiness in a dynamic, project-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- GST Compliance: Manage preparation and timely filing of GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns.
- Invoice & Data Management: Review sales and purchase invoices to ensure correct GST application.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation between GST returns and books of accounts.
- Tax Calculation: Accurately compute GST liabilities.
- Audit & Documentation: Support GST audits and maintain proper documentation.
- Vendor & Customer Compliance Management: Ensure vendor compliance to protect Input Tax Credit (ITC).
- Cross-border Transactions: Handle GST aspects related to imports and exports.
- Payment Processing: Process vendor payments post 2B matching.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce or CA Inter.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in GST/taxation.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Tally and Excel.
- Good understanding of finance and accounting processes.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Soft Skills:
- Attention to detail and a compliance-oriented mindset.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with regulatory updates regarding GST.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Experience
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in GST compliance and taxation.
