Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Research and Development (R&D) Specialist with a strong background in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, particularly in skin care or hair care products. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive research to develop new skin care and hair care products, ensuring they meet industry standards and consumer expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, quality assurance, and manufacturing to streamline the product launch process.
• Analyze market trends and consumer feedback to inform product development strategies.
• Design and execute testing protocols to validate product performance and safety.
• Document and present research findings to key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of concepts and innovations.
• Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering an environment of learning and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D or New Product Development (NPD) within the FMCG industry, specifically in skin care or hair care.
• Proven track record of successful product launches from concept through to market.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in cosmetic formulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Familiarity with sustainability practices in product development.
• Skills in project management and coordination.
• Knowledge of consumer testing methodologies.

Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in FMCG R&D or NPD, with a focus on skin care or hair care products.
