Job Summary

The Network Engineer will be responsible for the administration and support of network devices, including firewalls and load balancers, as well as the design and implementation of network infrastructure in various environments. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability, security, and stability of the network systems, contributing to the overall efficiency of the organization's IT operations.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support network devices such as Firewalls and F5 Load balancers.
• Design, implement, and support the network infrastructure in WAN, LAN, IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Build and maintain WAN links utilizing technologies such as VPN, MetroE, and Express Route.
• Maintain and enhance best practices for network reliability, stability, security, and performance.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as CISP and PCI, collaborating with teams to address any remediation findings.
• Identify automation opportunities within the network domain and develop custom software solutions.
• Collaborate with other business units to determine how automation can improve processes.
• Support project management and control implementations related to Internet and Extranet services.
• Troubleshoot and manage escalations related to Incident and Problem management records.
• Provide detailed technical documentation for network and system projects and solutions.
• Assist and mentor junior team members as needed.
• Provide training and assistance to departmental staff and other departments.
• Understand and contribute to cross-functional disciplines as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent technical education.
• 4+ years of technical education or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of relevant technical experience, ideally within a large international organization.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, and F5 Load Balancers.
• In-depth knowledge of the TCP/IP model with strong troubleshooting skills across all layers.
• Excellent knowledge of advanced network security and firewall technologies (including Palo Alto, CISCO, Juniper).
• Familiarity with remote access technologies (e.g., SSL, IPSec VPN, RDG).
• Knowledge of automation and scripting using Python and Ansible.
• Experience in multi-vendor, multi-platform, and hybrid cloud technology.
• Excellent problem analysis, analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and self-motivation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Awareness of ITIL processes; certification is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Cisco CCNA/CCNP and Juniper JNCIS / JNCIP certification is a plus.

Experience

• Minimum 6 years of relevant technical experience in the networking field.
