Job Summary

The SAP PP/QM Consultant will play a crucial role in configuring and supporting SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) modules. This position is vital for ensuring the efficiency of production processes and maintaining high quality standards within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and provide ongoing support for SAP PP and QM modules.
  • Manage and optimize production orders, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), shop floor control, process orders, and batch management.
  • Handle capacity planning and ensure smooth integration between PP/QM and other SAP modules such as Material Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Warehouse Management (WM), and Financial Accounting (FI).
  • Develop and maintain SAP master data, including materials, Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, resources, and inspection plans.
  • Write functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams for system enhancements and issue resolution.
  • Provide hands-on support for SAP issue resolution, debugging, and end-user training.
  • Generate standard reports and analytics related to PP/QM processes to aid decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in SAP PP and QM configuration and support.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, MRP, and shop floor control.
  • Proficiency in QM processes including incoming inspection, in-process inspection, final inspection, quality certificates, and non-conformance management.
  • Experience in integrating PP/QM with SAP modules like MM, SD, WM, and FI.
  • Familiarity with SAP master data management.
  • Ability to write functional specifications and coordinate effectively with technical teams.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP issue resolution, debugging, and providing end-user support.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP standard reporting and analytics related to PP/QM.

Preferred Skills

  • Certification in SAP PP/QM modules.
  • Experience with other SAP modules.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
