Reporting to Zonal Sales Director – South<br />
Location Chennai, Tamil Nadu<br />

<div>Roles and Responsibilities<br />
a. Setting up a strong and sustainable mixed channel (OTC, FMCG, PWS, Rx) distribution,<br />
including appointing channel partners, setting up sales infra and appointing channel<br />
dedicated sales team<br />
b. Driving the regions Sales Revenue targets<br />
c. Sales & Distribution: Identifies Distributor, helps build their organization and responsible for<br />
capability building<br />
d. Supervision & implementation of on ground marketing programmes for assigned territory<br />
(which includes trade activation) and lead sales execution across the territory (distribution,<br />
in-store availability, activation & merchandising implementation)<br />
e. Identify on-ground business issues: Monitor & audit daily business Issues & provide<br />
market/sales feedback and complete all necessary reports within the stipulated time frame<br />
f. Identify opportunities: maximising business relationships & tapping market information by<br />
gathering competitors’ info (promotions, launches, organization changes, etc.) and regularly<br />
update the sales force teams<br />
g. Monitor & track Trade Budgets</div>
<div>h. Advising on realistic forecasts for each product and territory (based on historical data,<br />
market trends, competitive activity, promotional strategy and sales effort, realistic costs of<br />
operating the sales force and sales promotion programme plans<br />
i. Responsible for obtaining business results through region wise planning & execution of<br />
company strategies, effective people management and team capability building<br />
j. Target achievement through planning & execution of sales promotion activities at retailer<br />
points within the assigned territory.<br />
k. Channel Management - Develop strong working relationship with distributors, manage<br />
distributors for achievement of sales priorities for the region<br />
l. Responsible for coordination with the Regional Customer Marketing, commercial finance,<br />
and other key stake holders in the business in the assigned area.<br />
m. Responsible for the planning, recruitment, direction, organisation, and management of<br />
Territory Sales Incharges & Area Sales Managers to accomplish specific objectives.<br />
n. Coaching and mentoring of TSIs & ASMs to enable them to carry out their roles &<br />
responsibilities in an effective manager<br />
o. Responsible for monitoring the performance of the team by establishing a system of reports<br />
and communications such as sales reports & activity trackers<br />
p. Timely appraisal of team and timely feedback to TSIs & ASMs regarding their performance,<br />
developmental plan for personal and career growth, feedback to ZSD and National Sales<br />
Head about the performance of each direct & indirect report<br />
q. Talent Management within the region, finding out right talent for right role & nurture talent</div>
<div>Job Requirements<br />
a. MBA (or MBA Equivalent) from Tier 1 / Tier 2 college<br />
b. Preferable age: Not more than 35 years<br />
c. Experience: should have at least 10 years of experience in FMCG / OTC Channel Sales, with<br />
notable exposure to wholesale business<br />
d. Should have at least 5 years of geography experience.<br />
e. Should have relevant sales exposure in OTC, FMCG (Groceries & Kirana Stores), OTC & FMCG<br />
Distributor (mandatory), SS (Super stockiest), Wholesale<br />
f. Good team management & coaching skills<br />
g. Should possess Analytical & Problem - Solving Skills to interpret and draw insights from<br />
available data</div>
