Capacity Planning Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Capacity Planning Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure and resources are optimally allocated to meet current and future demands. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our systems and services. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams to forecast capacity needs and implement solutions to meet those needs.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current capacity and forecast future capacity needs based on business growth and technology changes.
  • Implement monitoring solutions and analyze performance metrics to ensure optimal resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement capacity planning strategies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for infrastructure investments to support business objectives.
  • Ensure scalability and reliability of systems by planning and executing capacity-related projects.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to capacity management processes and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in capacity planning or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Dynatrace Monitoring.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with other cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in capacity planning or related fields.

Environment

  • The position is open for candidates in Kolkata, Mumbai, or those who prefer a remote working environment.
  • The role is full-time and contractual, with an immediate start date.
