Engagement & Research Intern

Job Summary

The Engagement & Research Intern will support the organization by conducting comprehensive research on youth programs related to skilling, mental health, and training. The intern will also identify potential partnership opportunities for CLiC, map organizations operating in the care leaver and orphan space, and document findings to generate actionable insights. This role will include developing research content around the orphan and solution (soulation) fields, and contributing to organizational knowledge on key issues. This internship provides valuable exposure to the development sector and an opportunity to make a tangible impact.

Responsibilities

  • Research existing youth programs focused on skilling, mental health, and training.
  • Identify and assess partnership opportunities for CLiC with relevant organizations.
  • Map organizations working with care leavers, orphans, or in the broader child welfare sector.
  • Document research findings and synthesize them into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Develop research content around orphans and solutions (soulation), including content creation and knowledge sharing.
  • Support the team in engagement activities and contribute to ongoing projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Psychology, Education, Public Policy, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
  • Ability to synthesize information and present findings clearly.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience or interest in the nonprofit, social impact, or youth development sector.
  • Familiarity with issues facing care leavers, orphans, or vulnerable youth.
  • Content development or report writing experience.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Creative thinking and initiative in problem-solving.

Experience

  • Minimum Experience: 0 years (open to freshers).
  • Relevant experience (internships, volunteer work, or academic projects) in research, social sector, or content creation is a plus.

Environment

  • Work setting: Hybrid (combination of remote and in-office work).
  • Collaborative team environment with flexibility.
  • May require occasional travel for field visits or partner meetings, if applicable.

Salary

  • Stipend: ₹5,000 – ₹10,000 per month (based on experience and qualifications).
