Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Merchandise Planning & Forecasting
o Develop pre-season sales, margin, and inventory plans by category, gender,
and channel.
o Build store-level assortment and depth plans based on sell-out trends,
regional preferences, and store clusters.
o Coordinate with the brand, product, and planning teams to align the buy with
brand calendars and seasonal strategies.
2. In-Season Management
o Track weekly performance vs. plan – revenue, sell-through, inventory cover,
and product freshness.
o Manage replenishment and allocations to ensure right product availability at
the right time and place.
o Recommend markdowns, consolidations, and reorders to drive sell-through
and minimize aging inventory.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
o Work closely with supply planning, retail operations, marketing, and finance
teams to ensure aligned execution.
o Partner with the retail team to translate store insights into assortment and
sizing strategies.
o Collaborate with warehouse and logistics to ensure timely inbound and
outbound product flow.
4. Reporting & Analytics
o Prepare weekly/monthly business review decks for management.
o Analyse product and store performance to identify trends and opportunities
for growth.
o Maintain reports on sales, margin, and inventory KPIs for agile decisionmaking.
5. Market & Product Intelligence
o Track competitor launches, pricing, and promotions to inform seasonal buys.
o Provide feedback to product and design teams on consumer response and
product gaps.
