Job Summary

The Internal Auditor / Compliance Auditor plays a key role in ensuring that Union Mutual Fund operates within regulatory requirements and adheres to internal standards. This position is crucial for maintaining the integrity of audit processes, supporting risk management initiatives, and enhancing operational efficiency, thereby contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Set up investment limits for schemes of Mutual Fund, SIF (Structured Investment Fund), and AIF (Alternative Investment Fund).
• Coordinate with internal auditors to finalize audit reports.
• Review additional audit reports, including Cyber Audit and Systems Audit.
• Prepare Audit Committee agendas and minutes.
• Handle SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) inspections, including offsite inspections.
• Define and execute monitoring activities in critical compliance areas.
• Assist other functions in improving processes while exploring the feasibility of automation.
• Oversee and manage the activities of the compliance function, guiding the team as needed.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA).
• Experience: More than 5 years of experience in Mutual Fund operations.
• Strong understanding of compliance, internal audit, and risk management.
• Proficient in handling audits and inspections by regulatory authorities.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with SEBI regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience in automating compliance processes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in internal auditing or compliance auditing, specifically within the Mutual Fund sector.

The position is based in Mumbai and typically operates in an office environment. The role may require participation in both on-site and off-site audits and inspections.
