End-to-End Production & Operational Excellence
Direct daily plant manufacturing operations to meet production targets for copper-based chemicals and agrochemical actives efficiently, safely, and within budget. Optimize batch yields, batch cycle times, and raw material usage while minimizing process downtime and batch variances.
Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA) & R&D Integration
Oversee QC/QA functions to ensure 100% adherence to product specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and lab testing protocols for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods. Collaborate closely with the R&D/Technical team to scale up pilot projects, trial batches, and commercialize new formulations or yield enhancement projects. Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) implementation for customer quality complaints or internal non-conformances.
Projects, Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) Execution & Plant Maintenance
Lead civil, mechanical, and electrical project execution for plant expansions, process automation, debottlenecking, and infrastructure upgrades. Oversee preventive maintenance programs for reactors, filtration units, boilers, scrubbers, and Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)/Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) equipment to ensure maximum equipment reliability.
Statutory Compliance, EHS & Government Liaisoning
Serve as the primary liaison for local statutory authorities, including Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB), Fire Department, Factory Inspectorate, and local Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) administration. Ensure strict operational compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) norms, Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) norms, and hazardous waste disposal guidelines. Maintain all statutory registers, consent renewals (Consent to Establish/Consent to Operate - CCA), factory licenses, and ensure zero regulatory notices or stoppage orders.
Administrative Leadership & Cost Management
Lead plant administrative, security, and contract labor management, maintaining discipline, industrial harmony, and high safety awareness across all shifts. Manage plant operational budgets (OPEX/CAPEX), driving cost reduction initiatives across energy, raw material handling, and logistics.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Chemical Engineering or Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Chemistry. Advanced qualifications in Industrial Safety or Diploma in Industrial Safety and Health (DISH) certification are preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in chemical process manufacturing, preferably in inorganic chemicals, pigments, agrochemicals, or specialty chemicals. At least 5+ years in a senior leadership role such as Factory Manager, Plant Head, or General Manager Operations.
Technical Skills:
Hands-on expertise in chemical unit operations, mass and heat balance, reaction engineering, Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)/Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) plant operations, and CAPEX project execution.
Statutory Knowledge:
Deep familiarity with Gujarat statutory regulations including Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB), Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health (DISH), Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO), Factories Act, and Contract Labour Act.
Language & Location:
Fluency in Gujarati and Hindi is essential for local liaisoning and labor management. Working knowledge of English is required. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate near Ankleshwar / Bharuch, Gujarat.
