Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – Financial Control & Compliance is responsible for strengthening Anveshan's financial governance framework. This role encompasses driving Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) implementation, managing internal financial controls, overseeing statutory audits, ensuring financial reporting accuracy, and maintaining compliance with regulatory processes. The position demands collaboration with various stakeholders, including business teams, auditors, tax consultants, and finance operations, to uphold accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities

Financial Control & Governance
- Drive ICFR and implement improvements in internal financial controls.
- Review accounting processes to close control gaps and identify weaknesses.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across finance and operational processes.
- Monitor compliance with Delegation of Authority (DOA) and company policies, enhancing maker-checker controls.
- Conduct periodic balance-sheet reviews and ledger scrutiny.

Financial Reporting
- Enable monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Review journal entries, provisions, accruals, and balance-sheet schedules for accuracy.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial statements in accordance with applicable standards.
- Enhance month-end closing timelines and improve reporting quality.

Audit Management
- Coordinate statutory, internal, tax audits, and limited reviews.
- Prepare audit schedules and relevant documentation to support audit processes.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and consultants.
- Track audit findings and lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Internal Audit & Risk Management
- Prepare and maintain the Risk Control Matrix (RCM).
- Perform walkthroughs and test financial controls.
- Conduct periodic operational and financial process reviews, identifying areas for improvement.
- Monitor compliance across finance and business functions.

Compliance
- Ensure adherence to the Companies Act, Accounting Standards, and other regulatory requirements.
- Assist in GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with the Company Secretary on corporate compliance activities.
- Maintain the finance compliance calendar, ensuring timely closure of statutory deliverables.

Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to automate finance processes.
- Drive enhancements in ERP controls and systems.
- Standardize documentation and reporting while embedding best practices in financial governance.
Qualifications
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory; Company Secretary (CS) qualification or pursuing CS is an added advantage.
- Experience: 2–3 years of post-qualification experience ideally in sectors like FMCG, Food & Beverage, Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, Retail, or D2C.
- Industry Background: Experience with Big 4 or top consulting firms in Audit or Risk Advisory followed by industry experience is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
- Hands-on experience with Statutory and Internal Audit, ICFR, and Internal Financial Controls.
- Knowledge of the Companies Act, GST, TDS, Income Tax, and corporate compliance.
- Experience in financial statement preparation and balance-sheet review.
- Proficient in ERP systems (Zoho, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Experience
