Job Summary
The Crash Structures CAE Specialist will focus on utilizing advanced computer-aided engineering (CAE) techniques to analyze and optimize crash structures in automotive design. This role is crucial for ensuring vehicle safety and performance, directly contributing to the organization’s goals of innovation and excellence in automotive engineering.
Responsibilities
- Conduct CAE simulations to analyze crashworthiness and structural integrity of automotive components.
- Develop and implement advanced simulation methodologies to enhance crash analysis capabilities.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to refine vehicle designs based on CAE findings.
- Generate detailed reports and presentations on simulation results and findings.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies in crash testing and CAE software tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAE tools such as LS-DYNA, ANSYS, or similar software.
- Strong understanding of crash testing standards and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of automotive safety standards and regulations.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with vehicle crash testing and validation.
- Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) principles.
- Knowledge of materials used in crash structures.
Experience
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in crash analysis or a related field within the automotive industry.
Environment
The position will be based in either Vadodara or Pune, within an engineering office environment. The role may involve collaboration with other departments and possibly some travel for onsite evaluations.
