Job Summary

The DevOps Engineer will focus on configuring, orchestrating, and automating software deployment processes to enhance integration across the full stack. This role is vital for managing infrastructure using code and ensuring that systems meet organizational needs through technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in configuration, orchestration, and automation tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible, Maven, Docker, and Kubernetes for full stack integration.
• Manage and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
• Collaborate on enterprise platforms and principles including Web Services, Load Balancers, Shell Scripting, Authentication, IT Security, Failovers, Performance Tuning, and Disaster Recovery.
• Establish and maintain standards for DevOps tools, providing technical guidance to ensure effective system operations and development.
• Administer various cloud infrastructures, preferably AWS, managing environments for Production, Development, and Quality Assurance (QA).
• Implement a continuous integration/deployment methodology for server-based technologies.
• Work closely with software developers and product management to design, deploy, and manage scalable software services in cloud and on-premises environments.
• Lead the Retail DevOps team in architectural discussions, requirement reviews, design, and managing ticket queues/backlogs.
• Facilitate technical conversations and identify resource needs, collaborating with the Domain Architect on technology choices.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent technology experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 7+ years in progressively responsible roles focused on designing, developing, and implementing computer software projects with open-source services frameworks.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong working experience with Terraform, Jenkins/GitLab, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes for full stack integration (5+ years).
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud Native tools such as Git, Jenkins, Grafana, Prometheus, Artifactory, Vault, Splunk, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
  • Proficient in software development fundamentals, including source control (Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) setup.
• Cloud Management: Knowledge in Cloud Sourcing and Asset Management, Cloud Operations, Security Assurance, and Cloud Network Segmentation.
• Soft Skills: Excellent presentation, verbal, written, interpersonal, and listening skills; strong teamwork, leadership, facilitation, and negotiation abilities.
• Methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
