Principal Consultant - AD
Job Summary
The Principal Consultant - AD will be responsible for managing and optimizing Active Directory infrastructure and operations within a large enterprise environment. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the security and efficiency of identity services, contributing to the organization's overall goals of maintaining robust IT operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage Active Directory infrastructure, including forests, domains, trusts, and replication.
- Implement and oversee security practices for Active Directory, including privileged access management and multifactor authentication (MFA).
- Develop PowerShell scripts for effective automation and management of Active Directory tasks.
- Ensure integration and management of cloud-based identity services like Azure Active Directory and hybrid environments.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and resolve problems related to Active Directory and associated infrastructures.
- Collaborate with technical teams during client engagements to ensure successful implementation of Active Directory strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in managing Active Directory infrastructure and operations.
- Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, Group Policies, DHCP, File servers, Certificate Authority, and Domain Controller patching.
- In-depth knowledge of AD security practices and relevant technologies.
- Strong expertise with Windows Server environments.
- Experience in scripting with PowerShell for automation and task management.
- Familiarity with cloud-based identity services (e.g., Azure AD, AWS IAM) and hybrid AD environments.
- Relevant certifications such as MCSA: Windows Server or MCSE: Core Infrastructure.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Azure Active Directory and hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Experience
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in Active Directory management within large enterprise environments.
Environment
- This position is a Night Shift role from 8 AM to 5 PM EST.
- The work setup is Hybrid, where employees are expected to work 3 days in-office and the remaining days remotely.
- Location: Hyderabad
