Job Summary
The Assistant Finance Manager - Inventory will play a critical role in overseeing inventory management processes, ensuring efficient tracking and reporting of inventory data, and contributing to accurate financial accounting. This role is pivotal in supporting the finance team and aligning inventory practices with the organization’s financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory movement from physical Goods Receipt Note (GRN) to ERP GRN, sales, returns, and closing stock.
- Perform cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory valuation to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Track Transfer Order Movement and ensure timely posting of COGS and inventory entries in the ERP system.
- Prepare data for ITC - 04 and monitor E-invoices.
- Oversee wastage in manufacturing processes in India and monitor inventory movement in China.
- Track damaged inventory and slow/non-moving inventory, ensuring provision is made appropriately.
- Conduct bin movement tracking and facilitate cycle counts and wall-to-wall stock counts while analyzing variances.
- Optimize inventory management practices to reduce leakages and verify 3PL Warehouse invoices against agreed terms.
- Support audit processes and assist with month-end close activities.
Qualifications
- Educational Qualifications: B.Com / MBA / CA Inter.
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in a finance or inventory management role.
- Technical Skills:
- Good knowledge of financial accounting and reconciliation.
- Proficient in Excel and ERP systems.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with financial software and inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements associated with inventory and financial reporting.
Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in finance, with a strong focus on inventory management and financial analysis.
Environment
The role is based in HSR Layout, Bengaluru, and may involve a combination of onsite and offsite responsibilities, depending on operational requirements. A fast-paced work environment with collaborative team dynamics is expected.
