Job Summary

The Backend Engineer - Core Systems & AI Infrastructure will be responsible for designing and building scalable APIs, optimizing data pipelines, and integrating AI models into production environments. This role is critical in ensuring that foundational platforms and APIs are reliable and support high concurrency, contributing to the overall success of the organization’s technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, multi-tenant APIs with proper authentication, authorization, and rate limiting.
• Create and optimize high-performance data pipelines for the RedShift data warehouse.
• Architect, deploy, and manage core backend systems on cloud servers, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with AI teams to integrate, deploy, and serve AI models in a production environment.
• Develop and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP) Servers to facilitate tooling and interoperability for AI applications.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment of full-stack and backend services.
• Provide the foundational platforms and APIs that the Workflow Engineer consumes.

Qualifications

• Strong, proven experience in core Backend engineering and system design.
• Demonstrated ability in designing and scaling multi-tenant backend systems for high concurrency.
• Proficiency in API design (REST, GraphQL) and implementing robust security (OAuth2, JWT, rate limiting).
• Expertise in database design, performance tuning, and optimization (PostgreSQL, Redshift).
• Demonstrated ability to deploy and manage full-stack projects on a server.
• Experience working with or building MCP (Model Context Protocol) Servers.
• Proficiency in handling and processing Natural Language Processing (NLP) data at scale.
• Proven involvement in AI model projects (integration, deployment, inference serving).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Node.js and Express.js as backend technologies.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes for infrastructure and DevOps.
• Understanding of Redis Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, Kafka for messaging.
• Knowledge of optimization techniques for UNstructured or NLP data.

Experience

• Extensive experience in deploying full-stack applications, scaling backend systems, and implementing rate-limiting systems for APIs is preferred.
