Senior Executive - Procurement

Job Summary

The Senior Executive - Procurement is responsible for sourcing raw materials used in feed manufacturing , including agricultural commodities and animal/vegetable protein sources. This role involves managing logistics operations, conducting market research, and formulating procurement strategies to ensure effective buying decisions and continuity of operations.

Responsibilities

• Source raw materials for feed manufacturing, focusing on agricultural commodities and protein sources.
• Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations efficiently.
• Handle import operations and documentation for international sourcing.
• Conduct research and analysis on domestic and international markets to inform buying decisions.
• Develop long and short-term procurement strategies by identifying gaps in demand and supply.
• Conduct regular on-field supplier visits to source and producers.
• Ensure on-time delivery of raw materials to support business operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to execute sourcing strategies effectively.
• Continuously scan the market for new raw material opportunities.
• Utilize various tools and techniques to reduce logistics costs for selected raw materials.
• Uphold organizational values and ensure compliance with control and reporting objectives.
• Leverage company's strengths to expand a competitive vendor base and establish long-term relationships.
• Drive the Supplier Performance Management Program to achieve strategic alignments.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree (Postgraduate preferred) with a minimum of 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in similar industries.
• Expertise in analysis, market intelligence, strategic sourcing, and supplier performance management.
• Proven experience in import-led buying is essential.
• Knowledge of business applications such as SAP MM, E-Auction platforms, and mobile apps is desirable.
• Willingness to travel extensively across geographies.
