Guidewire Developer

Location: Hyderabad, Bangalore, Hybrid

Job Summary

The Guidewire Developer will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing Guidewire solutions tailored to meet the company's business needs. This position requires a strong understanding of Guidewire products and best practices to enhance system functionality and ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Guidewire business applications to meet user requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze software requirements.
• Customize Guidewire applications and integrate them with existing systems.
• Provide technical support and maintenance for Guidewire-related issues.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Stay updated with the latest Guidewire features and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • 3+ years of experience with Guidewire products (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
  • Proficiency in Java, SQL, and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Experience with Guidewire development tools (Gosu, Eclipse).
  • Understanding of SOA principles and integration methods.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to code quality and best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Certifications in Guidewire products or related technologies would be an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Guidewire development.
