Job Summary
The PHP Tech Support role is essential for maintaining and enhancing the technical integration experience for merchants. This position focuses on providing technical solutions, addressing recurring issues, and ensuring that merchants receive top-notch support. The role contributes significantly to the organization’s goal of delivering outstanding e-commerce solutions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain merchant/partner technical solution articles and guides.
- Report, track, follow up, and escalate recurring technical issues.
- Coordinate with merchants to provide appropriate feedback on issues.
- Perform necessary tests on merchant websites or plugins to ensure proper functioning.
- Monitor, plan, and assign shifts, supporting Integration Support Engineers in multiple locations.
- Assist in the product awareness journey and identify needs.
- Manage assigned internal roles for the team as directed by the line manager.
- Complete any side projects related to enhancing the integration experience or merchant onboarding journey.
- Engage in activities initiated by the line manager to enhance the work environment for other teams.
- Adhere to team values and perform any tasks assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Software Development experience, preferably in PHP and Java.
- Strong understanding of web-based applications and technologies.
- Good knowledge of e-commerce platforms such as Magento, OpenCart, and WooCommerce.
- Proficient in using issue tracking tools like FreshDesk and Redmine.
- Proficient in using version control systems like Git and SVN.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Experience working in distributed teams that operate 24/7/365.
- Passionate about customer interaction.
- Objective-driven with strong work ethics.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in technical support for e-commerce platforms.
- Familiarity with integration processes and product awareness strategies.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years in a technical support role, specifically related to PHP development and e-commerce platforms.
Environment
- Work Location: Chennai
- Work Mode: Hybrid (2-3 days in the office)
- Working Days: Sunday to Thursday
- Work Timings: 8 AM to 5 PM IST
