SSE - Frontend

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Frontend Software Engineer (SSE) to take full ownership of the frontend architecture for our core product. In this role, you will build scalable, high-performance UI components using React.js and contribute to defining key technical strategies. This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity after a 6-month period, and it requires immediate to 15 days’ notice to join. The role will be based in Bangalore under a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the frontend architecture using React.js to drive the success of our core product.
• Build scalable, high-performance UI components and pages from scratch.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to rapidly prototype and implement new features.
• Influence key technical decisions and help define the overall frontend strategy.
• Mentor junior engineers and advocate for clean, maintainable code and design practices.
• Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs and deliver a seamless user experience.
• Continuously optimize performance, speed, and scalability in a fast-paced, evolving codebase.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of front-end development experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience working with React.js.
• Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience with Next.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with responsive design and state management tools such as Redux and React Query.
• Familiarity with Agile practices along with tools like Git, Figma, and Jira.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Tailwind CSS and GraphQL.
• Exposure to backend technologies such as Django or Firebase.
• CI/CD experience and knowledge of cloud deployment solutions like AWS.
• Ability to thrive in an early-stage, fast-paced environment with strong autonomy.

Experience

• 6 years of overall front-end development experience.
• 5+ years of experience specifically with React.js.
• At least 2+ years of relevant experience with Next.js.

Environment

• Hybrid work model based in Bangalore.
• Immediate to 15 days notice period required for joining.
• Contract-to-hire model after a 6-month contract period.
