Job Summary
The Compliance Executive will support the Compliance Officer/Compliance Head in ensuring adherence to SEBI regulations, AMFI guidelines, applicable laws, and internal compliance policies. The role involves day-to-day compliance monitoring, regulatory reporting, documentation, maintaining compliance records, coordinating with internal teams, and supporting audits and regulatory requirements. This position is crucial in maintaining the organization’s regulatory integrity and operational compliance within the financial services industry.
Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & Monitoring
- Monitor compliance with SEBI Mutual Fund Regulations, AMFI guidelines, circulars, and internal policies.
- Conduct periodic compliance checks and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Oversee investment-related and operational compliance, including exposure limits and scheme restrictions.
- Identify compliance exceptions and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
- Track regulatory circulars and updates, supporting their implementation within the organization.

Regulatory Reporting & Filings
- Assist in preparing and submitting periodic regulatory reports to SEBI, AMFI, Trustees, and other authorities.
- Support the preparation of compliance test reports and regulatory submissions.
- Maintain trackers for regulatory filings to ensure timely submission.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather information and supporting documents for regulatory reports.

Compliance Documentation
- Maintain compliance registers, checklists, trackers, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in updating compliance policies, SOPs, and internal control documents.
- Support review and updating of scheme-related documentation, including Offer Documents and KIMs.
- Keep records of regulatory communications, approvals, observations, and corrective actions.

Audit & Inspection Support
- Coordinate internal audits, statutory audits, compliance reviews, and SEBI inspections.
- Provide necessary documents and information to auditors and regulatory teams.
- Track audit observations and follow up for closure.
- Maintain audit and compliance records, ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions.

Internal Coordination
- Collaborate with Investment, Operations, Fund Accounting, Finance, Risk, Legal, Secretarial, RTA, Custodian, and other teams on compliance matters.
- Follow up with stakeholders for timely submission of compliance data and documentation.
- Support the implementation of regulatory changes across relevant business functions.

Investor Grievance & Service Compliance
- Monitor investor complaints and grievance redressal processes.
- Ensure complaints are tracked and resolved within prescribed timelines.
- Assist in maintaining records and preparing regulatory reports related to investor grievances.

Regulatory Updates
- Track circulars and notifications from SEBI, AMFI, RBI, and other authorities.
- Summarize relevant regulatory changes and communicate them to the Compliance Officer/Head.
- Assist in assessing and implementing new regulatory requirements.

Compliance MIS & Reporting
- Prepare periodic compliance MIS and dashboards for management review.
- Maintain compliance calendars and trackers.
- Escalate pending compliances, exceptions, and potential risks to the reporting manager.
Qualifications
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in Mutual Fund / Asset Management Company compliance.
- Exposure to AIF, NBFC, Stock Broking, Wealth Management, or other SEBI-regulated entities.
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting tools and compliance management systems.
Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in compliance within:
- Mutual Fund / Asset Management Company
- AIF
- NBFC / Financial Services
- Stock Broking / Wealth Management
- Other SEBI-regulated entities
- Preference for candidates with direct experience in Mutual Fund / AMC compliance.
