Salesforce Release Engineer

Job Summary

The Salesforce Release Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability and performance of existing and future enterprise applications. This position focuses on the implementation, configuration, security, maintenance, and performance tuning/monitoring of various database technologies, including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB, Couchbase, and other emerging database technologies. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Development, Product, and Architecture, to deliver applications with the highest level of quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the database operations team in the implementation and configuration of database systems.
• Monitor and maintain database security and performance tuning.
• Ensure the availability of enterprise applications through effective database management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application delivery and performance.
• Stay updated on emerging database technologies and integrate them as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), MySQL, Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB, and Couchbase.
• Strong understanding of database security and performance tuning techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with database management and operations.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions.
• Knowledge of database automation tools and scripting languages.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies.

Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in database administration or a similar role.
