Azure DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Azure DevOps Engineer with 6-10 years of experience to support environment automation, compliance enforcement, and application modernization initiatives. The role involves designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, integrating policy-as-code, and modernizing legacy applications using Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings. The candidate will contribute to the organization’s goals by ensuring secure, automated, and efficient deployment processes aligned with Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps using both YAML and Classic pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
• Implement Azure Policy and Enterprise Policy-as-Code (EPAC) to enforce compliance across environments.
• Develop and manage automation scripts using PowerShell, REST APIs, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Bicep and ARM templates.
• Lead the modernization of legacy applications leveraging Azure App Services, Azure Functions, API Management, and Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
• Manage secrets securely using Azure Key Vault, configure service connections, and ensure secure deployment practices.
• Support Agile processes using Azure Boards (Scrum/Kanban), managing sprints, user stories, and iterations effectively.
• Create and maintain Azure DevOps dashboards and analytics views; optionally integrate with Power BI for advanced reporting.
• Troubleshoot and optimize CI/CD pipelines, deployment modules, and infrastructure provisioning to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
• 6-10 years of relevant experience in DevOps engineering with a focus on Azure DevOps.
• Strong expertise in Azure DevOps components: Pipelines, Boards, Repos, Artifacts, and Service Connections.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting, including writing modules and Pester tests.
• Solid understanding of Git and source control workflows including branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Experience with Azure Policy and Enterprise Policy-as-Code (EPAC).
• Skilled in Infrastructure as Code using ARM templates, Bicep, and Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with Azure PaaS services: App Services, Azure Functions, API Management, Azure SQL, Key Vault, Azure AD, and Application Insights.
• Familiarity with REST API integration.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD and DevOps principles, secrets management, and automation pipelines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Octopus Deploy and Power Automate.
• Azure certifications such as AZ-204 (Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure) and AZ-400 (Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
• Familiarity with .NET Framework deployment.
• Experience with Agile project management tools like Jira and Asana.
• Ability to create reports and dashboards using Power BI.

• 6 to 10 years of professional experience in DevOps engineering, specifically with Azure DevOps and cloud-native Azure services.

Salary

• Salary Range: INR 10,00,000 to 18,00,000 per annum (maximum up to 20,00,000 INR)
