Job Summary

The CEO will lead the organization’s strategic direction and operations in line with its environmental mission. This role involves developing strategic plans, building partnerships, and engaging stakeholders to expand the impact of its tree planting and sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership: Develop and implement the organization’s strategic plan.

• Fundraising and development: Build relationships with donors, government agencies, and corporate partners to secure funding for initiatives.

• Team management: Recruit, develop, and lead staff while fostering a collaborative workplace.

• Public relations and advocacy: Represent the organization at events and in the media, raising awareness of environmental issues and tree planting initiatives.

• Program development: Implement and evaluate community-driven tree planting and reforestation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.

• Senior management experience, preferably in a nonprofit or environmental organization.

• Strong team leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

• Ability to engage diverse stakeholders and use data to inform decisions.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with environmental policies, sustainability practices, and tree planting.

• Experience in grant writing and donor engagement.

• Project management and program evaluation experience.

Experience

A minimum of 10 years of executive-level experience in nonprofit management, environmental advocacy, or a related field is preferred.

Work Environment

The role combines office work with community engagement. Regular travel may be required to meet partners, attend events, and oversee project sites.
