Job Summary

The Project Manager/Head – Auto Components will be responsible for leading the new product development (NPD) and customer projects within the automotive components manufacturing sector. This role requires effective management of end-to-end project execution, facilitating cross-functional coordination, and ensuring timely product launches that meet customer and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle from Request for Quote (RFQ) to Start of Production (SOP).
• Coordinate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure project alignment.
• Ensure completion of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and project milestones.
• Monitor project timelines, risks, and budgets to ensure successful execution.
• Act as the primary interface with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customers for project updates and communications.
• Drive on-time project delivery and successful product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering.
• 15–20 years of experience in automotive or auto component manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949, and NPD processes.
• Proven experience in OEM project handling and cross-functional project management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Six Sigma certification.
• Experience working with OEMs such as Tata Motors, Mahindra, Maruti, etc.

Experience

Candidates should have 15-20 years of relevant experience within the automotive or auto component manufacturing industry.

Environment

The position is based at Victor Reinz India's manufacturing plant located at Plot No. A-20, Navlakh Umbre, Talegaon MIDC, Taluka Maval, Pune, Maharashtra 410507, which is approximately 40 KM from Pune. The plant spans 5 acres and employs around 200 people, including 50 staff and 150 operators.

Salary

The budget for this position is set at ₹22 LPA (Lakhs Per Annum).
