Senior ServiceNow ITOM Developer

Job Summary

The Senior ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM) Developer is responsible for designing, engineering, configuring, implementing, and supporting ITOM solutions using the ServiceNow platform. This role is pivotal in aligning IT operations with business objectives by leveraging ServiceNow ITOM modules such as Discovery, Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and Event Management. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that ensure system reliability, scalability, and optimal performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer ITOM solutions leveraging the ServiceNow platform in line with enterprise architecture and operational requirements.
• Configure, implement, and support ServiceNow ITOM modules including Discovery, CMDB, and Event Management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions that align IT operations with business goals.
• Maintain and enhance ServiceNow applications to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and optimize ServiceNow ITOM functionalities, integrations, and overall system performance.
• Develop and manage ServiceNow integrations using scripted REST/SOAP APIs, import set integrations, and data workflows.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of proven experience implementing ServiceNow ITOM modules, specifically Discovery, CMDB, and Event Management.
• Strong knowledge of Event Correlation Rules and ServiceNow CMDB architecture.
• Familiarity with server, network, and application architecture, with the ability to troubleshoot across these domains.
• Experience with ServiceNow database schema and table structures.
• Hands-on experience with Performance Analytics, email notifications, and data workflows within ServiceNow.
• Proficiency with transform maps, data sources, and transform scripts for data loads and integrations.
• Skilled in creating/managing scheduled jobs, events, and triggers within ServiceNow.
• Expertise in ServiceNow integrations, including scripted REST/SOAP APIs and import set integrations.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Certification: ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certification is mandatory.

• Experience in troubleshooting across infrastructure layers (server, network, applications).

Environment

• Location: Remote (work from anywhere).
• Work Hours: 8-9 hours daily commitment required.
• Immediate Joiners Preferred: Notice period from immediate to a maximum of 20 days.
