Job Summary

The IBM Sterling EDI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting IBM Sterling B2B Integration solutions. This role involves working with various retail transaction types to ensure smooth data exchange. The ideal candidate should be able to effectively translate business requirements into EDI integration solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (Sterling Integrator) solutions for EDI/B2B data exchange.
  • Develop and configure EDI maps (X12, EDIFACT, IDOC) along with custom transformation logic and business rules.
  • Manage trading partner profiles and communication protocols such as AS2, FTP, SFTP, VAN, REST, and JMS.
  • Monitor, support, and troubleshoot EDI transactions and integrations.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and cross-functional teams to gather and understand requirements.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Support deployment, testing, and production rollout of EDI solutions.
  • Willingness to work during the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone and maintain strong communication skills for customer engagement.
  • Utilize Service Now for IT service management, incident management, and workflow automation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting IBM Sterling B2B Integration solutions.
  • Proficiency in working with retail transactions including 850, 855, 856, 810, 832, 867, 846, and 870.
  • Strong understanding of business requirements and the ability to translate these into EDI integration solutions.
  • Educational qualification in a relevant field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Technical proficiency in EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, IDOC).
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as AS2, FTP, SFTP, VAN, REST, JMS.
  • Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting EDI transactions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with project management and Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of additional EDI transaction types and protocols.
  • Familiarity with other B2B integration tools and technologies.

Experience

  • A total of 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in EDI development and B2B integration.
