Job Title: Vice President of Finance*

Join a thriving startup in the FMCG B2B sector with an annual turnover exceeding 700 Crores. As the Vice President of Finance, you will lead the scale-up of the finance division, ensuring effective stakeholder, financial, and accounting management across the organization.

 

*Key Responsibilities:*

 

1. *Stakeholder Management and Financial Reporting:*

   a. Generate and analyze financial MIS for regular discussions with management and investors.

   b. Ensure accuracy in MIS reporting, financial information, and related data.

   c. Manage relationships with financial organizations, overseeing Working Capital and Banking facilities.

 

2. *Functional Area Supervision:*

   - Supervise Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Tax, Payables and Receivables, Audit, and Vendor Management.

   - Produce quarterly management accounts and reports for senior management and the Board.

 

3. *Strategic Financial Leadership:*

   - Support the CEO/CFO in developing and delivering the organization’s financial strategy.

   - Set up processes and ERP in the finance team to facilitate smooth startup scale-up.

 

4. *Accounting and Control:*

 

  - Ensure accuracy in accounting and control for the company.

   - Timely closure of Books of Accounts, including Payroll, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.

 

5. *Taxation Compliance and Representation:*

   - Provide vigilance over Taxation compliance, representing the organization in related forums.

   - File Tax Returns (Income Tax, GST, etc.) and ensure compliances under various regulations.

 

6. *Continuous Process Improvement:*

   - Review financial, control, and management information systems, implementing improvements.

   - Collaborate with Management to enhance processes across the organization.

 

7. *Financial Analysis and Reporting:*

   - Prepare and analyze cash flow statements, Variance analysis, income and expenditure accounts, and balance sheet accounts.

   - Assist program and project managers with financial reports for funding applications and investor reports.

 

8. *Team Management and Development:*

   - Provide management direction and development support for the finance team.

   - Take responsibility for the performance management of the finance team.

 

*Qualifications:*

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 10-15 years of post-qualification experience.

- CA + CS Preferred.

- Preferably experienced in the startup space.

 

*Functional Skills:*

- Experience in planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

- Knowledge of financial systems and procedures.

- Proficient in modern business technologies and accounting tools.

 

*Soft Skills:*

- Fast learner with the ability to plan, build, and execute processes for long-term sustainability and profitability.

- Astute professional with comprehensive commercial acumen, strong work ethics, and excellent persuasive communication and analytical skills.

- Ability to motivate and manage a team.
