Job Description

Bessemer is seeking a bright and motivated individual to serve on the India operations team based in Bangalore. This position has a high degree of visibility through frequent interaction with, lawyers, banks, audit team, Mauritius team, tax compliance team, US operations team among other stake holders. This individual will report to the Chief Operating Officer in India. Job Description: • Investments and exits: POC for all documentation, onboarding, compliances, filings including interactions with brokers, investment banks, portfolio companies, tax advisors, lawyers, depository, Mauritius team etc., to manage all deal execution, closing and post-closing formalities • Co-ordinate with banks for payment of taxes, obtaining best fx rates and transfer of funds from/to bank for investments and exits • Depositories: Coordinate with depositaries to provide all requisite documentation for KYC, inwarding/sale of securities and other filing requirements with the DP/SEBI • Ensure routine statutory filings with regulators. • KYC: POC for all KYC related documentation and submissions in India and other relevant jurisdictions • Tax: Coordination with tax advisors on tax implications of various deals and ensuring necessary documentation and filings; including payment of taxes as appropriate • Post investment coordination with portfolio companies for matters requiring consent, documentation for Board & shareholder meetings, regulatory disclosures, updated agreements and filings • Overseas administrators: POC for all requirements from offshore administrators pertaining to execution of documents, consents, KYC, local regulatory filings, interaction with local banks and lawyers etc. Candidate Profile The individual must have an investment accounting and/or financial operations background with a venture capital or private equity firm (preferably with offshore presence) ideally with of 1-4 years of experience. The position requires an individual that possess the following qualities: • Strong communication skills and ability to get work done from service providers and others • ideas Ability to innovate and come up with efficient solutions, and comfortable with adopting technology to simplify operations • Well organized and detail oriented • Must be able to work independently with minimal oversight • Highly proficient in Excel and good knowledge of word and PPT. Location Work from home with occasional travel to office (Bangalore) Education Requirements MBA/ CA
