Job Summary
This is a senior leadership position within the Fund, focused on bridging the gap between investment acumen and operational excellence. The Venture Partner will serve as the primary spokesperson of the Fund to investee companies and act as a trusted partner for founders, guiding them through complex business challenges and empowering them to build enduring consumer brands.
Responsibilities
- Deal Sourcing & Evaluation: Activate your existing ecosystem and professional network to source high-potential new deals and manage the evaluation process end-to-end.
- Strategic Advisory & Progress Monitoring: Assist founders in designing scalable business plans, monitor progress, and intervene directly to resolve roadblocks.
- Trend Prediction: Leverage deep category expertise to identify new long-term consumer trends and behaviors to inform investment strategies.
- Founder Enablement: Act as a hands-on partner to founders, guiding them through the journey of building enduring consumer brands.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee the strategic direction of investee companies, ensuring alignment with the Fund’s vision for alpha outcomes.
- Operational Intervention: Provide execution-led problem solving across growth and business operations, serving as the first point of contact for critical business issues.
- Reporting & Governance: Improve and monitor periodic reporting mechanisms to identify material deviations and provide corrective assistance.
- Network Activation: Drive value by connecting businesses to customer networks, strategic partners, and key leadership talent.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10–15 years in operations, growth, or portfolio management, ideally with experience in both 0–1 and 1–100 scale-up journeys for B2C products.
- D2C Specialist: Deep understanding of scaling Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) physical product plays in India and optimizing growth across channels (Brand.com, App, Amazon, Quick-Commerce, etc.).
- Consumer Obsession: A passionate advocate for brand-building with a proven ability to predict market shifts.
- Execution Mindset: Strong preference for candidates who have built products or businesses from scratch; profiles with a purely advisory background will not be considered.
- Stakeholder Maturity: High level of professionalism and empathy required to manage relationships with founders and internal leadership.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree (MBA) preferred but not mandatory.
