Senior Manager/AVP

Job Summary

The Senior Manager role involves leading compliance assessments across banking functions and newly introduced products. The primary objective is to provide assurance to senior management regarding adherence to regulatory and policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting the annual Compliance Review Plan for submission to the Board.
• Design and periodically update compliance review checklists aligned with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
• Perform fieldwork to ensure reviews are completed within agreed timelines.
• Prepare initial compliance review reports and engage with stakeholders to discuss observations.
• Consolidate stakeholder responses and issue final compliance review reports.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of documentation and working papers for all reviews conducted.
• Track open items arising from compliance reviews and monitor progress to closure.
• Coordinate with management teams to drive timely resolution of compliance observations.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications: MBA or Chartered Accountant (CA).
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of the Indian banking regulatory landscape, particularly RBI guidelines.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory circulars and apply them to practical scenarios.
  • Working knowledge of banking operations including trade finance, remittances, treasury, and related functions.
• Soft Skills: Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Compliance Advisory.
• Proficiency in Compliance Reviews and Compliance Testing.
• Background in Internal Audit.

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience within the banking sector is required.
