Job Summary
The Vice President of Credit Risk is responsible for overseeing the identification, assessment, and mitigation of credit risks across Credila’s portfolio. This role is crucial in ensuring that credit policies and procedures are robust and aligned with regulatory requirements while supporting the organization’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the identification, assessment, and mitigation of credit risks across Credila’s portfolio.
- Ensure the robustness of credit policies and procedures through regular reviews, recommendations, and feedback.
- Maintain the quality of the credit portfolio, optimizing the risk-reward balance and fostering a culture of prudent risk management.
- Minimize risks in Portfolio Management by prudent lending and monitoring key financial metrics such as PAR, Non-Performing Assets (NPAs), and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) Provisions.
- Provide strategic direction for the Credit Risk function related to all product lines and adjacent areas within Risk and Business functions.
- Create, implement, and administer Credila’s Credit Risk strategies, policies, procedures, credit approvals, and portfolio management.
- Lead efforts to ensure overall goal attainment within credit and risk mitigation areas across all product lines and departments, optimizing profitability and sustainable growth.
- Monitor the credit portfolio to ensure compliance with core principles of good lending, regulatory guidelines, and early recognition of problem credits.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in credit risk management, including the development of policies and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on portfolio management and performance indicators.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to drive a culture of risk management.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting credit policies.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve strategic objectives.
- Educational qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related fields; Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred.
