Job Summary

The Backend Software Development Engineer will help build reliable, scalable solutions that power the travel industry. The successful candidate will work with modern technologies, collaborate across teams, and contribute to innovative products that enhance the traveler experience.

Responsibilities

• Gather user requirements for new or upgraded software solutions and ensure clarity of needs.
• Design and develop backend solutions using industry standards, including database implementation.
• Collaborate with product managers and support teams to validate products and resolve issues.
• Promote best practices, maintain clear documentation, and optimize software performance.
• Work with cross-functional teams to address system-wide challenges and implement preventive measures.

Qualifications

• Experience: 6-9 years in backend development.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and Spring Framework.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience with unit and integration testing, including Test Containers.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of Microservices Architecture.
  • Experience with message queues, such as Apache Kafka, Google PubSub, or RabbitMQ.
• Methodologies: Exposure to Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in travel or airline technology and familiarity with APIs or airline reservation systems is a bonus.

Experience

• Minimum of 6-9 years of relevant experience in backend development.

Environment

• Work setting is in Bangalore.

Salary

• Estimated salary range: INR 2,000,000 - 3,000,000.
