Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned business leader to head the Demand function for a technology-enabled B2B marketplace business operating in the fresh produce ecosystem. This is a high-impact commercial leadership role responsible for driving buyer acquisition, revenue growth, marketplace liquidity, and overall business performance across multiple markets.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end Demand business across assigned markets.
• Drive buyer acquisition, retention, and marketplace liquidity.
• Own revenue, profitability, and overall P&L for the business.
• Drive credit management, collections, and working capital discipline.
• Build relationships with wholesalers, traders, and key marketplace participants.
• Lead regional business teams and drive execution excellence.
• Expand business across existing and new markets.
• Partner with Operations, Supply, Finance, and Product teams.
• Track buyer productivity, collections, revenue, and profitability.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years in B2B commercial sales, business development, or business leadership.
• Experience managing high-volume buyer ecosystems, channel businesses, or marketplaces.
• Strong ownership of revenue, P&L, credit, and collections.
• Comfortable with extensive on-ground travel.
• Experience leading large cross-functional teams.
• Strong commercial acumen and business-building mindset.

Preferred Skills

• Background in AgriTech, Fresh Produce, FMCG Distribution, Food & Beverage, Commodities, Rural Commerce, or Marketplace Businesses.
• Experience with Large Channel Sales Organizations.

Experience

10–15+ years of relevant experience in B2B commercial roles, preferably with a focus on demand management and marketplace dynamics.
