Our primary audience is rural and semi-rural farming households across India, with a strong focus on Punjab as the recent market for our initiatives. We are dedicated to establishing a robust local, creator-led social presence in regional languages to effectively engage dairy farmers.

Job Summary

The Punjabi Social Media Creator will be responsible for generating engaging content for our regional social media handles, specifically targeting dairy farmers in Punjab. This role requires an individual who is not only skilled in content creation but also has a passion for connecting with farmers and understanding their needs. The creator will manage Instagram and YouTube outputs, ensuring they resonate with the local audience.

Responsibilities

• Write simple, farmer-friendly scripts in conversational Punjabi that farmers with up to Class 8 education can easily understand.
• Shoot and self-edit short-form video content for Instagram, maintaining a steady weekly posting cadence.
• Write scripts and shoot footage for YouTube, coordinating effectively with the HQ editor to ensure high-quality final products.
• Manage the growth and engagement of the regional Gau Sampurna social media handles, including captions, hashtags, and performance tracking.
• Identify and build relationships with genuine rural influencers across Punjab who can authentically connect with dairy farming audiences.
• Stay updated on platform algorithm changes, trending content formats, and best practices in vernacular agricultural content.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of experience in content creation (agriculture, local travel, or food) and social media management, with at least 1 year of experience running your own Instagram or YouTube channel.
• Proficiency in the Punjabi language, capable of communicating naturally with dairy farmers both on and off camera.
• Ownership of a high-quality smartphone capable of shooting in 2K resolution, a lapel mic for clear audio, a gimbal for stable footage, and a laptop for content editing and management.
• Required minimum of 10,000 followers or subscribers on Instagram and/or YouTube.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with farming practices and dairy products in Punjab.
• Prior experience in working with agricultural brands or products.
• Knowledge of social media analytics tools to track growth and engagement metrics.

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in content creation and social media, particularly within the agriculture sector would be ideal.

Environment

• This is a hybrid work-from-anywhere role based out of Punjab, requiring regular local travel to dairy farms and cattle sheds for on-site content creation. Additionally, the role mandates quarterly travel to the Silo Fortune headquarters in Bengaluru for one week every three months.

Salary

• Up to ₹9 LPA (fixed + variable) along with travel reimbursements based on actual expenses.
