Job Summary

The C&B/Billing role is essential for managing cost estimation, budget monitoring, and performance management within the construction consulting sector. This position contributes to the organization's goals by ensuring accurate financial planning and adherence to project timelines, ultimately supporting the successful delivery of real estate projects.

Responsibilities

  • Cost Estimation: Calculate quantities based on received drawings and analyze MEP consultant drawings against established design efficiency ratios and engineering benchmarks.
  • Cost & Budget Monitoring: Develop and monitor project budgets to prevent overruns, comparing budgeted costs against actual expenditures and creating revenue generation scenarios based on market analysis.
  • Cost-to-Complete: Provide detailed cost-to-complete assessments on Good for Construction (GFC) drawings for ongoing projects and revalidate previous cost estimates.
  • Rate Analysis: Conduct timely rate analysis of project items based on location and project type.
  • Annual Operating Plan (AOP): Monitor AOP achievements, perform variance analysis, and implement corrective actions while highlighting potential variations for early mitigation.
  • Coordination with Internal Stakeholders: Collaborate with the Operations team, Design, and Strategy to ensure data accuracy and adherence to timelines, preparing review reports as required.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements in processes to enhance efficiency, costs, and productivity, while initiating relevant activities in the work area.
  • Automation of Processes: Learn and excel in new software for automating costing and budgeting processes.
  • Performance Management: Define work objectives for team members, balance work allocation, review completed tasks, conduct performance reviews, and complete performance appraisals.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: More than 6 years in cost consulting or construction consulting, preferably with a renowned developer or EPC construction company in the real estate sector.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in cost estimation and budget monitoring.
    • Strong analytical skills for rate analysis and cost-to-complete assessments.
    • Familiarity with project management software and tools.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Leadership skills for managing team performance.

Environment

  • Work Setting: Full-time, in-office position located in Delhi. The role may involve collaboration with various internal teams and stakeholders.
