Detailed job description - Skill Set:
Payroll Functional Configuration
- Configure and maintain Oracle Cloud Payroll module components, with a focus on:
- Payroll definitions and elements
- Balance definitions
- Fast formulas
- Costing setup (element-level, department-level, etc.)
- Payroll flows
- Manage and troubleshoot payroll runs, retroactive calculations, and year-end processing.
Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure payroll configurations comply with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Monitor and implement updates related to tax legislation.
- Support tax reporting, including W-2 year-end filing, quarterly and periodic remittances.
Costing & Financial Integration
- Configure and troubleshoot payroll costing allocations and account combinations in Oracle HCM.
- Ensure accurate accounting of payroll costs through validations and reconciliation reports.
- Analyze costing discrepancies with ERP and recommend corrective actions.
Mandatory Skills(2-3)ONLY
- Hands-on experience in Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll, especially U.S. payroll.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll taxation, including multi-state tax scenarios.
- Proven experience in payroll costing configuration and reconciliation.
- Experience in full-cycle Oracle Cloud Payroll implementation projects is preferred
Good to Have Skills
- Experience with third-party tax filing and garnishment services (e.g., ADP, Equifax).
- Experience with third-party time keepings systems (e.g. Kronos)
- Knowledge of related Oracle modules (Benefits, Compensation).
- Experience in Agile/Waterfall methodologies and project documentation
