Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
-
Lead the end-to-end R2R cycle: journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, intercompany accounting, and month-end/year-end close.

Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with Ind-AS/IFRS/IGAAP and company policies.

Own and drive the preparation and consolidation of group financial statements.

Review general ledger accounts, ensuring integrity, accuracy, and compliance.
Controls & Compliance

Implement and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Manage statutory, tax, and internal audit requirements, and ensure timely closure of audit observations.

Implement month close process and ensure strong monthly controls check list.
Process Excellence & Transformation
-
Standardize and streamline R2R processes across business units/branches.
-
Drive automation, digitization, and adoption of ERP/Oracle/SAP tools for faster close cycles.
-
Establish KPIs and benchmarks for efficiency (e.g., D+5 close timelines, zero recon breaks).

Partner with FP&A, P2P, O2C, and Treasury to ensure seamless financial operations.
Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with business heads, Functional heads to align on accounting policies and reporting requirements.

Support CFO in presenting financial results, variance analysis, and disclosures to the Board.

Act as the primary contact for auditors.
Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and build high-performing R2R teams across multiple locations.

Strengthen technical accounting expertise within the team.

Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Key Deliverables

Timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.

Statutory, management, and regulatory reporting packs.

Robust internal control framework with zero non-compliance issues.
-
Reduction in close cycle timelines (fast close initiatives).

High stakeholder satisfaction and reduced audit observations.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or equivalent qualification.
-
8 to 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in R2R/General Ledger.

Strong technical knowledge of Ind-AS, IFRS, and regulatory frameworks.

Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent).
-
Proven track record of driving process transformation and automation.
-
Prior experience in a large multi-branch/multi-entity setup (Education, Services, or MNC preferred).
