Job Summary

The SSAS Developer will play a crucial role in designing and developing analytical models using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and Azure Analysis Services. This position is essential for translating business requirements into functional data models that support reporting and analytics processes, contributing significantly to the organization’s data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Tabular models in Azure Analysis Services and OLAP and/or Tabular models in SQL Server Analysis Services based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with data analysts, business stakeholders, and other developers to understand and translate reporting needs into functional data models.
• Optimize cube performance and ensure data model scalability.
• Design and implement ETL processes that feed the SSAS models.
• Maintain and update existing Analysis Services models as business needs evolve.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy through thorough testing and validation.
• Develop and maintain documentation of models, measures, and processes.
• Support reporting teams using tools like Power BI, Excel, or other front-end BI platforms.
• Monitor data refresh processes and troubleshoot failures or performance issues.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) – both Multidimensional and Tabular models.
• Proven experience with Azure Analysis Services Tabular models.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with SQL Server Database Engine.
• Solid understanding of MDX and DAX languages.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and star/snowflake schemas.
• Experience in integrating Analysis Services models with Power BI, Excel, or other reporting tools.
• Experience in managing data access security in Analysis Services models.
• Familiarity with source control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance tuning skills.

Preferred Skills

• Additional experience with data visualization tools beyond Power BI and Excel would be beneficial.
• Familiarity with cloud services and environments, particularly Microsoft's Azure platform.

Experience

• 9-12 years of relevant experience is required for this role.

Environment

The role is based in Bangalore and is prepared for candidates who can join immediately or within 30 days of notice.

Salary

• The estimated salary is 21.30 LPA.
