We create high-energy, industrial-chic spaces inside corporate offices and campus parks where professionals can grab coffee and discover new brands. Having completed our pilot, we are now scaling to 50+ locations and need an unstoppable recruitment engine to fuel our growth.
Job Summary
The Lead Talent & HR Operations role will be the first dedicated talent hire for ZenZebra, responsible for owning the recruitment and HR operations from the ground up. The primary mission is to facilitate high-volume hiring to staff retail stores with energetic associates and managers who embody the brand's aesthetic.
Responsibilities
- Recruitment Pipeline: Manage the complete sourcing, screening, and interviewing process, freeing up founders to focus on strategic initiatives.
- High-Volume Sourcing: Utilize creative methods to identify talent through channels such as WhatsApp groups, Instagram, and local networks with minimal budget.
- The Hiring Machine: Establish a lightweight Applicant Tracking System (ATS) alongside a standardized three-step interview process.
- Onboarding & Culture: Collaborate with Operations to develop a comprehensive three-day training program that prepares new hires to be floor-ready.
- People Operations: Oversee essential compliance, payroll processing, and shift scheduling to ensure smooth HR operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of intensive recruiting experience in Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), modern retail, or gig-economy startups.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong ability to assess personality and reliability (a "BS-Detector").
- Problem-solving mindset, with a focus on proactive solutions rather than policy limitations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in leveraging social media and digital networks to connect with younger, Gen-Z talent.
- Educational Qualifications: A relevant degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with HR technology and tools.
- Experience in building training programs or onboarding processes.
- Knowledge of labor laws and compliance in the retail sector.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of recruiting experience, with a specific emphasis on high-volume hiring in retail settings.

- The role is on-site in New Delhi, operating within a fast-paced retail environment that prioritizes energetic and vibrant work culture.
Salary
Estimated salary range of ₹6L – ₹9.6L CTC.
