Job Summary

The Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) will serve as a senior strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing the Group’s overarching strategy, transformation initiatives, capital allocation, and strategic investments. This role is pivotal in driving growth across a diversified, high-growth business, ensuring alignment with long-term organizational goals, and fostering sustainable value creation. The CSO will collaborate closely with executive leadership, the Board, and key stakeholders to translate strategic visions into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the Group’s medium- and long-term strategic plan, identifying growth opportunities across existing businesses and adjacent sectors.
  • Partner with CEOs and business leaders to translate strategy into operating plans, priorities, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead high-impact strategic initiatives and transformation projects focused on growth, profitability, scalability, capital efficiency, and digitization.
  • Evaluate and execute M&A activities, strategic investments, joint ventures, and partnerships, including business case development, valuation, due diligence, and transaction structuring.
  • Work closely with the CEO, CFO, and Board on capital strategy, fundraising, and corporate finance initiatives, including investor and lender engagement.
  • Drive portfolio strategy and performance management across subsidiaries and business verticals, including resource allocation, restructuring, incubation, and scaling decisions.
  • Identify and incubate new businesses and revenue streams, leveraging existing customer relationships, infrastructure, data, and ecosystem partnerships.
  • Support the CEO and Board with strategic analysis, business plans, investor presentations, and market intelligence.
  • Build and lead a high-performing strategy team, fostering analytical decision-making, accountability, and disciplined execution.

Qualifications

  • 12–18 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, transformation, or operating leadership.
  • Strong exposure to M&A, investments, fundraising, financial modeling, valuation, and strategic partnerships.
  • Experience in agriculture, commodities, financial services, logistics, supply chain, or technology-led businesses (preferred).
  • Demonstrated strong commercial and strategic judgment with the ability to operate across multiple businesses and revenue models.
  • Proven ability to influence CEOs, Boards, investors, and senior stakeholders and lead complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convert strategic thinking into executable plans.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification from a leading institution (preferred).
