Job Summary

The Web Scraping Developer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing the existing Deductions Link web scraping and ETL code base. The role requires strong application development and coding skills and includes developing additional features and functionality to onboard new customers, ensuring efficient operation and support.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, support, and fix issues in the existing Deductions Link web scraping and ETL code base.
• Develop additional features and functionality to enhance the system for new customers.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution and delivery.
• Analyze logs to diagnose issues and implement appropriate solutions.
• Maintain documentation related to the development and support work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience in open source web services development.
• 8+ years of experience in Python API/Restful services development using FastAPI or Django.
• 5+ years experience in databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Proficient in web scraping technologies, specifically Selenium and BeautifulSoup.
• Experience in writing unit and functional tests using PyTest.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues.
• Basic understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and cloud computing concepts.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a focus on collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with developing new APIs using web frameworks and ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) tools.
• Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Experience

• 8-12 years of relevant experience in web scraping, Python development, and support.

Environment

• This is a remote position, allowing for flexible work arrangements.

Salary

• Estimated salary: ₹1.7 Lakhs per annum.
