Role: Group Finance Controller Report to: VP Finance Company: Classplus Responsibilities: 1. General Ledger Management - Oversee the maintenance and management of the GL, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. - Develop and implement GL policies, procedures, and controls. 2. Financial Reporting - Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. - Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions. 3. Audit and Compliance - Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion of audit requirements. - Implement and maintain compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards. 4. Consolidation - Oversee the consolidation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. - Develop and implement consolidation policies and procedures. 5. Ind AS - Ensure compliance with Ind AS (Indian Accounting Standards) and implement changes as required. - Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure Ind AS compliance. 6. Team Management - Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and coaching. Requirements: 1. Qualified Chartered Accountant with 4–7 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role. 2. Strong hands-on experience in bookkeeping, finalization of accounts, and preparation of financial statements. 3. In-depth knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), 4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders. 5. Prior experience of handling controllership function in a mid sized organization or a fast-paced startup environment or leading the audits in Big 4.
