Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Lead with 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining infrastructure automation. The candidate must possess strong expertise in Ansible, Terraform, Shell scripting, PowerShell, and Python, with a proven track record of automating cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises infrastructure. This leadership role also demands experience in team management and fostering a culture of automation excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for provisioning, configuration, and administration tasks.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform across multi-cloud and data center environments.
• Write and optimize automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
• Automate provisioning and configuration of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), including compute, networking, and security policies.
• Lead root cause analysis for automation/infrastructure issues in cloud and on-premise setups.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Security teams to improve automation pipelines.
• Integrate automation workflows with ITSM, CI/CD, and monitoring tools.
• Conduct Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for new services to enhance automation capabilities.
• Lead a team of automation engineers by providing technical guidance, mentoring, and project oversight.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and best practices in automation projects.

Qualifications

• Mandatory Skills:
  • Ansible (Advanced level)
  • Terraform
  • Shell Scripting (Bash)
  • PowerShell
  • Python
  • Cloud Automation: AWS / Azure / GCP (at least one)
  • Infrastructure Automation (on-prem and cloud)
  • Team Management / Technical Leadership
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows Server Administration
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Educational Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Knowledge of scripting languages beyond what's mentioned (e.g., Ruby, Go).

Experience

• Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure automation and team leadership.
