Senior Manager, Development

Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Development will lead the development of cloud-native applications using the S-Kube Amadeus framework, focusing on microservices architecture. This role is crucial for ensuring high-quality software delivery through a full CI/CD stack and will contribute to the organization's strategic goals by managing a medium-sized team and influencing project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of applications in a private and public cloud environment utilizing OpenShift, Quarkus, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Implement a mixed event-driven and service-oriented architecture to enhance application performance and scalability.
• Utilize Kafka streaming technology for real-time data processing and integration.
• Develop and maintain Open API with REST JSON over HTTPS for seamless communication between services.
• Oversee the full CI/CD stack (based on Jenkins, Helm, etc.) to ensure efficient code deployment and validation from development to production environments.
• Manage project budgets, performance, and results while influencing resource allocation and policy planning.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees (MTech, MBA) are preferred.
• Proficient in cloud technologies including OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
• Experience with Kafka and streaming technologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Helm.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex issues and recommend effective solutions.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management frameworks.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
• Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments.

Experience

• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in software development and team management, particularly in cloud environments.

• This position is based in Bangalore and requires in-office work. The work environment is collaborative and fast-paced, focusing on innovation and quality.

Salary

• Estimated salary range: 7,000,000 INR per annum.
