Hiring Brief – Core Engineering Team (AI-First

WealthTech Platform)

Context

We are building one of India’s first **AI-first, Agentic Wealth Management Platforms** — a system

designed to reimagine how Relationship Managers, clients, and technology collaborate to deliver

personalized financial advice at scale.

Our vision is to merge deep financial expertise with the power of AI, data engineering, and

modular SaaS tools. This platform will empower RMs and clients with real-time intelligence,

automation, and conversational interfaces, anchored on a data lake that integrates mutual funds,

PMS, AIF, insurance, and alternate asset data.

Founders:

Kunal Agarwal

Kunal has co-founded and sold two businesses in India successfully; Brattle Foods – a cold-chain

logistics company which was acquired by Future Group in 2014 and Priority Vendor – a supply-

chain finance company which was acquired by C2FO in 2019. Kunal holds an AB Hons. Degree

from Harvard College (2008) and is based out of New Delhi, India.

George Mitra

George is currently the co-founder and CEO of Fintso. He has over 25 years of experience in the

wealth management industry in India, with deep domain experience in financial planning, B2C

marketing and product management. He was a part of the founding team of Avendus Wealth and

as CEO managed over $4 Billion of Client Assets. Prior to Avendus, George spent over 13 years

with Deutsche Bank, looking after North India and NRI wealth. George is based out of New Delhi,

India.

George and Kunal have known each other for about 10 years and have unique access to India’s

financial and retail ecosystem.

About the Platform

Our platform will fundamentally change how wealth management is delivered in India by creating

an **AI-assisted agentic flow** — where human Relationship Managers are empowered by an RM

Co-Pilot, and clients interact with a personalized advisory AI layer. The system integrates

seamlessly across third-party SaaS providers, regulatory APIs, and financial data networks.

Core elements include:

- Cloud-native, API-first architecture

- Unified Data Lake for all client holdings and interactions

- AI-driven CRM & RM Assist modules (lead scoring, client insights, opportunity detection)

- Client-facing portals with goal-based analytics and compliance automation

- Integration with custodians, fund houses, and payment systems

This is a **once-in-a-generation opportunity** to build the core technology powering a wealth firm

that is AI-native, compliance-ready, and designed to scale to ₹50,000 Cr+ AUM in the coming

years.Mandate

We are now assembling a **founding engineering team of 5–6 senior developers** to build and

scale the backend, AI integration, and data systems. You will work directly with the Lead Engineer,

Product Head, and Founders to deliver the first production release of the platform.

The team will focus on:

- Building and scaling backend and AI infrastructure

- Integrating data pipelines, SaaS modules, and APIs

- Architecting extensible systems for future AI workloads (LLMs, agentic bots, recommendation

systems)

- Delivering clean, maintainable, production-grade code under startup velocity

Ideal Profile

- Strong experience in backend or full-stack development (Python, Node, Java, Go)

- Exposure to cloud infra (AWS/Azure/GCP), data lake systems, and scalable API design

- Experience integrating AI/ML pipelines, inference APIs, or large-scale analytics workflows

- Understanding of fintech or data-heavy ecosystems (finance, payments, SaaS)

- Ability to work independently in a high-velocity, build-from-zero environment

- Deep interest in AI, automation, and transforming user experience through intelligent systems
