apparel merchandiser with around 10 years experience in a reputed sports brand related company <br /> The candidate would be responsible for overseeing the conceptualization, construction and development of samples as per specifications. <br /> Good understanding of Indian wear garment construction, design & costing. Expertise in domestic sourcing with hands on experience in quality check. <br /> Ability to understand the product requirement and ensuring to get the final samples made ready for production. <br /> Sound knowledge on fabric qualities, print and surface ornamentation techniques. <br /> Vendor management to ensure to get the right product within the timelines with competitive cost. <br /> Good understanding of all roles involved in the process. <br /> Constant check on new fabrics, trims etc to help the design process. <br /> Ability to cost the samples to achieve the desired margins and quality. <br /> Keeping up to date with new fashion trends, design and production techniques. <br /> Build, manage and maintain Time and Action Calendars for all apparel products across each factory <br /> Meticulous in maintaining records, files for seamless workflow. <br /> Monitor daily status of line development including production, design, and technical design. Must fully understand garment-manufacturing process to ensure compliance. <br /> Analyse all price quotes, work with merchants to ensure target costs are achieved, and understand fabric, trims and embroidery costs. <br /> Approve all fabrics for appearance, quality, weight and hand-feel, using formal guidelines and technical knowledge. <br /> Approve prototype samples for style details and construction. <br /> Manage workflow from initial sketch through final placement of styles. <br /> Manage approval process of all strike's offs, patterns trims, and technically correct lab dips. <br /> Establish and manage tracking tools for all products in development through final production. Keep up on daily communication with internal teams and factories. <br /> Travel to factories, trade shows as necessary to execute and follow through on brand strategies.
