Job Summary

The Senior Web Developer (Backend) will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems. This position requires a seasoned developer with a strong command of TypeScript and Node.js, who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to create seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend systems using TypeScript and Node.js (preferably HapiJS).
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and designers to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Participate in system architecture and API design decisions.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in backend development.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience with HapiJS or similar Node.js frameworks (Express, Fastify, etc.).
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Solid experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD workflows.
• Basic knowledge of frontend development, particularly with ReactJS.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD practices and version control using Git.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GraphQL or event-driven architectures.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha).
• Previous experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Strong experience with one or more frameworks: SvelteKit, React.js, VueJS.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3 (including Flexbox/Grid), and JavaScript (ES6+).

Experience

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Backend Development.

Environment

• Preferably based in Pune, but open to candidates from Pan India (excluding Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh).
• Working hours: 9 hours per day, inclusive of a lunch break.
