Job Description

Role Overview
The Head of Marketing will own the full marketing funnel — from awareness and brand building to lead generation, conversion, and customer retention. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, creative excellence, and analytical rigor to scale Marg’s brand, drive adoption of Marg Books, and strengthen customer loyalty across India and key global markets.
 
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Leadership

Develop and execute the integrated marketing strategy aligned with the company’s growth and product goals.

Own the marketing P&L and deliver measurable ROI across channels.

Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team (digital, performance, content, brand, design, and events).

Drive consistent brand positioning and communication across all touchpoints.
2. Digital & Performance Marketing

Lead customer acquisition through SEO, SEM, performance marketing, and affiliate channels.

Build scalable lead funnels for Marg ERP and Marg Books using marketing automation and CRM tools.
Manage analytics and attribution models to optimize CAC and LTV.

Drive marketing experiments for new products and geographies.
3. Brand & Communication

Build a strong and differentiated brand identity across India and international markets.

Develop targeted campaigns for SME decision-makers, accountants, and industry influencers.

Manage PR, social media, influencer, and content marketing initiatives.

Oversee creative development — brand films, customer success stories, product explainers, etc.
4. Offline Marketing & Partnerships

Design and execute regional marketing programs, trade shows, dealer meets, and channel partner activations.

Strengthen Marg’s presence across Tier-1 to Tier-4 cities through innovative BTL initiatives.

Build partnerships with trade associations, software resellers, and ecosystem players (banks, GST portals, etc.).
 
5. Product & Customer Insights

Work closely with Product and Sales teams to translate customer insights into product messaging.

Use data to refine customer segmentation, pricing communication, and go-to-market strategy.

Track competitive intelligence and emerging trends to inform marketing priorities.
