About the role
To provide strategic financial guidance and support to business units within Tata Power, ensuring sound evaluation and financial decision-making on renewable energy projects The Lead - Business Finance will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial health and growth of the organization. This individual will be responsible for providing strategic financial analysis, financial modeling to drive informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with specific business units/departments within Tata Power and actively participate in their operations. Support the Business Development teams.

Provide various business units insights from the finance side.

Develop and maintain & review financial models to forecast revenue, costs, and profitability of RE projects.

Assess the potential risks o before setting up the project and price them accordingly.

Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks. Support/negotiate PPAs and SHAs with prospective customers.

Develop financial plans along with various business and technology teams with a 'bottom-up' approach

Review the plans vs. actuals project performance on a regular basis

Do an in-depth analysis of variance and communicate the same to create visibility and enable planning of actionable items.

Do a scenario analysis and develop business plans on product enhancement or business initiatives and present them to top management

Handle ad hoc requests and problem-solving with a short turnaround time

Supplement ad hoc requests with appropriate analysis and comments to support decision making

Participate and drive standardization automation projects for process efficiency
What You Will Need
-
4 to 6 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant having dealt with large infrastructure projects.

Proficiency in MS Office including financial modelling and PPT skills

Should have relevant years of experience in consulting, M&A, due diligence, corporate finance functions(preferably from top 4) or

Strong analytical rigor, adaptability, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills

Detail oriented, accurate and agile.

Proven ability to form strong collaborations with stakeholders

Background in Big 4/RE industry/RE IPPs is a plus
